Essex Wire President Offers COVID-19 Update

April 20, 2020

Dear Customers, Partners and Friends,

As an update to our previous communication, Essex Wire North America continues its commitment to keeping our employees and customers safe during the COVID-19 outbreak. We continue to align with the Center for Disease Control guidelines, remaining fully operational in our production plants with our non-production employees working from home.

As we previously communicated, Essex Wire is designated as an essential business based on the definition provided by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Despite having local governments impose additional directives, including to shelter in place, as a major supplier of materials used in ventilators, transformers, and other critical equipment, Essex Wire continues to maintain this designation. All employees who are needed on-site have been granted permission to continue to work on premise, ensuring full operation of our facilities while maintaining compliance with government mandates. As we stated earlier, operations are conducted while strictly adhering to guidance provided by the CDC, OSHA, and other government agencies.

At the same time, we continue to perform vigorous analysis of our liquidity and operational conditions on an on-going basis. Based on our latest analysis, we believe that our financial and business fundamentals continue to be strong.

As we navigate through these difficult times, we will continue to put the health of our employees and partners first. By taking proactive measures, we are ensuring everyone’s safety while maintaining continuity of supply to our customers. If you have any questions please contact your Essex sales or customer service representative.

Thank you,

Baber Inayat

President
